About Dr Ralph Sexton Jr
Born January 17, 1947, in Asheville, North Carolina, Dr. Ralph H. Sexton, Jr. was brought up in a Pastor's home and educated in the public schools of the City of Asheville. Dr. Sexton graduated from Lee Edwards High School in 1965 and received continuing education at Trevecca College in Nashville, Tennessee and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Asheville.
After entering the business community, Dr. Sexton owned and operated the Asheville Vending Company until 1974, when he was ordained to the Ministry. Dr. Sexton earned the Doctor of Divinity degree at Bethany Theological Seminary in Dothan, Alabama and was presented an honorary doctorate degree in May of 1991 from the Baptist International School of the Scriptures and Baptist Christian University. In May of 1992 Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, FL also awarded him an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Divinity.
From 1975 until 1980, Dr. Sexton served as Youth Pastor in Asheville, North Carolina at Trinity Baptist Church. In 1980, he entered the field of full-time evangelism holding crusades, seminars, and church revivals in America and also in Honduras, Haiti, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
Dr. Sexton has conducted a crusade at the invitation of the National Park Service on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. in 1986. He also works in youth and prison ministries. The State of North Carolina allowed him to conduct a tent meeting inside the prison yard in 1993.

Dr. Sexton is married to the former Muzette Thaxton of Charleston, West Virginia and has three children: Beverly, who is the wife of Dwight Parrish and their four children, Winston, Savannah, Scarlett, and Sophia; Mark, who is married to the former Sheri Hollifield and their daughters, Alexis and Lola; and Kent, who is married to the former Leigh Parsons and their children Preston, Ian, and Juliet
